Why are many resolution values you see on TVs and videos in multiples of 360 (or 180, 90)? 360p, 480p, 720p, 1080p, 1440p, etc. What is the connection to circles, if there is one?

If you put one foot on one bathroom scale and the other foot on another scale and stood between them so your center of mass was exactly between the two scales (say your feet/the scales are x distance apart, and you weigh W), what would each scale read?
