So less than an eyelashes weight worth of uranium can explode as powerfully as a kilogram of TNT. But why? What makes nuclear reactions so energetic and why don't we see that energy manifested more in everyday life?

If i could take a detailed enough picture of myself, at an atomic level, could i use that picture of the position of every atom in my body to recreate myself exactly as i was at the moment the picture was taken? (Assuming there is a device capable of, i guess, 3d printing at the atomic level)
