The Polish average wage is increasing faster than the Czech one. Due to taxes Czechs still earn more total but who knows for how much longer. One Czech economist said that while Poles have been busy building highways, Czechia has been investing into bike paths and observation towers in valleys.

One of the recently exchanged Russian spies was Pavel Rubtsov, detained in Poland in 2022 where he pretended to be a Spanish journalist interested in human rights issues. He engaged in progressive activism related to e.g. abortion rights or the crisis on the Belarusian border. (Polish article)
