Are maturation and aging two separate processes in the human body? If so, at what point in your life, exactly, does one end and the other begin? Basically, when does your body reach "full development" and then starts to slowly deteriorate?

What's the highest temperature an object (like a metal pipe) can be while still being safe for a human to touch for at least 1 minute? Also, does it make a difference if you touch it with different parts of your skin? Are certain parts, like on the hands and feet, more heat-resistant than others?
