As non-Canadian International. I want to pursue my masters in Economics to get a Ph.D. in the same subject. What University is budget friendly and employable for future. In a city which is budget-friendly. Also, is there a good scope in Ph.D.? I am seeing Canada as an option since USA is pretty exp.

I am an Indian. Planning to join UofA. I'll be living in Edmonton. I have other options too like UBC, McGill and UofT. Still, in comparison to these is Edmonton really worth it? Like as a resident of Edmonton what would you think a new comer should know in order to take a decision?
