Would we be able to detect a nuclear detonation (>20mt) on an exoplanet? If so, what kind of effects, short term and long term, would that detection have on the scientific field? Would that be enough to confirm ET life?

Assuming we had a lab capable of performing tests over the course of Eons that you had absolute environmental control over, could you create a scenario in which selective pressures can be used to evolve a single lineage of simple multicellular organisms (ex: worm) "back" into single celled life?
