[WP] in a coal mine, workers find a huge network of gears embedded into the stone. Over the course of months, the network is observed to grow. Efforts to remove it fail, it's too big. On an entirely different location, the same thing happens. Entire planet revealed to be transforming from inside.

A lot of inanimate objects have turned into people over night (E.g. a doormat is now a guy laying on the floor called Mat, a chess set is now a woman called Jess sitting on the table, etc). The people behave just as the respective object did. Only the protagonist is aware of this.

[WP] 90 % of the people you see in public are "bystanders". They are passive, and only able to converse in simple and short interactions. Suddenly, all the bystanders start going crazy.

Protagonist finds an abandoned mineshaft which consists entirely of cubes. Finds an old pickaxe, which gives him the ability to keep digging in such a manner. Tries to take it home, doesn't work. Returns daily to dig, suddenly meets a guy named steve. Magic happens, minecraft leaks out into city.

[WP] One morning, as you wake up, you find about 5-10 people in your room. They act like a production team for some sort of film, with you in the center, and as if it's always been this way. They occasionally even step in to correct your actions. You just want to be left alone by them.
