I feel like I've never seen paintings of people with acne. Has acne always been as common as it is today? Are there any old paintings you guys know of? Any early writing about acne?

On the same lines as malaria being used, before penecilin, to treat syphilis. Are there other amazing examples throughout history of getting treated with something bad to help something else wrong ?
