Lymphocytopenia is common to SARS-COV, MERS-COV and SARS-COV-2. Research found MERS-COV infects t cells. Research that found SARS-COV-2 also infects t cells was withdrawn due to concerns about the methodology. Considering the enormity of possible t cell infection, why no further research?
