So here’s a thought I’ve had for days now: If I send a vessel away from earth, and keep up continuous, unbroken communication while they’re moving away at a constant speed, will I be receiving their messages in real-time?

If we unlocked FTL travel, and decided to stream a constant, continuous broadcast the POV of the first rocket’s launch before, during, and after launch, would we still see the broadcast in real-time if the rocket accelerates to or faster than the speed of light?

Since there is a time lag between objects because the speed of light isn’t instant, and all celestial bodies we observe are basically pre-recorded videos of their past selves, what happens if we accelerate to or faster than the speed of light and attempt to observe them?
