Why does it seem like all dinosaurs were just a larger version of a modern creature? I mean, there used to be sharks larger than busses and massive bipedal reptiles but we don't see it anymore. What caused these monsters to go extinct and only leave us the small ones?

How is it possible to not go faster than the speed of light? If I were on a ship traveling 99.999% the speed of light and shot a gun, the bullet would travel faster than me and the ship, which would surely be at least the speed of light.. Right?

I was watching a science show a few days back and they brought up a theoretical form of transportation that basically involves a ship being "towed" by a black hole. Supposedly it could achieve speeds over the speed of light. Is something like this "warp drive" even theoretically possible?

With phones being Basically little handheld computers nowadays, why don't they have a USB port yet? It seems like a very useful thing that smartphones should have now.
