Global Warming is of course bad for the earth. But what if instead of it, we were given the chance to have Global Cooling instead? What would be better to take in the long haul?

How have whales and dolphins not evolved past the need for a blowhole? Their dive times are activities are heavily restricted by the last time they went up to the surface for oxygen, so how have they not evolved beyond that?
