[WP] The first day the world woke up and 1% of the human population was gone was met with confusion. The second day the world woke up and 1% of the remaining human population was give was met with fear. The third day the world woke up to 1% of the population gone we realized this isn't stopping.

[WP] You go to bed bath and beyond to get a new door knob. While in the beyond section you pick up a universal door handle. It's universal so it has to work so you buy it and head home. As you get to your car you fumble with your keys and turn the knob and your car doors unlock.

"Yes," the odd stranger says "by about 6% but if it lands in tails you're chance of success decreases by 7%." You wake from this odd dream and find a coin in your pocket.

[WP] You start receiving text messages from a private number. Initially, they are just pictures of the Earth. Then pictures of the hemispheres. Then pictures of a continent. Then a country. Each picture seems to be zooming in more and more.

[WP] For your Biology lab you grow some bacteria from you. You swab your mouth and incubate your sample. When you next open the culture it's full of colonies. Then people in the lab with you start coughing. Soon everyone in your lab, but you, has come down with some virulent.

[WP] It's the quinquennial Great Thieving. Every five years thieve guilds from around the world descend on one major metropolis. Each participant from each guild given a letter that must always be on their person. The goal: to collect the whole alphabet.
