In the 1800s young children worked as cabin boys, maids, mill workers, coal miners, etc. In the end, they were still "just" children. Are there any documents referring to temper tantrums? Needing potty breaks? Typical "children" type behavior?

I’m a medieval scribe and the dang monastery cat left his inky paw print on my vellum. What do I do with the sheet? Do I simply write around it? Is there a way to salvage this sheet? Is this a common occurrence?

It's the 16th centry and I/m a 20 yo unmarried woman living on a Tudor Monastery Farm. Can I move away to "the big city" somewhere and make a living for myself? I don't want to grow up to be a housewife. I dislike farm tasks. What jobs could I do in the city?
