Ancient battle grounds like Cannae, Salamis, Thermopylae, Trebia, Teutoburg Forest: Shouldn't these areas be absolutely littered with skeletons, weapons, armor, etc? Or WAS this the case but the areas in question have just been excavated already?

Where did soldiers get their horses from in ancient Greece and Rome? How were so many horses made available? Were they captured as wild animals or were they bred for wartime purposes?

Often in media, Medieval nobles and royalty are displayed as having contempt for the poor and those beneath them in the feudal system (in some cases disgusted in even speaking with them). Is this an accurate portrayal?

Can someone explain what made the "Tyrants of Syracuse" tyrants? Were these tyrants originally Greek/Roman/Punic or was this a completely independent culture?
