Following World War 1 some Assyrian nationalists requested the Entente to give them an independent state that largely overlapped with the proposed Kurdish state. Was there any chance that the Entente would create any Assyro-Chaldean state? What did the general public in the West think about this?

In Europa Universalis 4 among other titles it is possible to trap armies in islands by blockading them navally. Did anything like this ever happen in history? Would it have been theorethically possible?
