[WP] A dead man knows a method to ensure that people who die don't simply remain in their corpses forever, conscious, and immobile. Unfortunately, he has to kill them for it to work. He revived himself to save people from this fate. They see him as a serial killer.

[WP] You were in the hospital when the aliens turned three quarters of humanity into rage monsters. You ducked into a dark room to avoid the screaming and mayhem. It's a nursery and dozens of newborn infants stars at you hungrily. They're unusually quiet and their eyes are gleaming.

[WP] You woke up dead. You stand in front of your mirror and poke the slowly melting pits of flesh. Should you dig out the rot? Bandage yourself? Do you leave it and give up? You lie awake at night in terror wondering what will happen next. This wasn't what you had in mind when you got immortality.

[WP] By the time we figured it out, it was too late. 100%infection. Leading to seizures, insanity, hyper aggression, and ultimately death. No cases of survival once symptoms appeared. The last of us still sane enough buried our genetic makeup into bunkers. The AI will restart humanity. Hopefully.

[WP] We all stopped valuing the sanctity of breath, upon the day of the Death of Death. The day we stopped dying was the day our governments enacted severe population controls, to stop us from covering the world in our numbers. We couldn't do anything about the bugs and vermin tho. Or the cancers.
