I [42M] want to spend a year on assignment in Europe fulfilling my dream to work globally. My husband [44M] is opposed, even though he could spend half the time there with me. We had largely agreed to this before we married. Together 7 years, married 1. How do we work through this?

Why should / shouldn't I [42M] expect my husband to be okay with me [44M] spending a year in a foreign country for work? No kids. He could spend half his time there with me.
