Savory food seems to be more popular than sweet food, world over. So then please explain, why is all chewing gum sweet? Can we not make a chewing gum with slow-release meat or soy flavor, like they do with slow-release sweeteners?

What do the worker ants do when their entire nest fills up with rainwater? Keep working underwater, or stand/wait until air returns? What do the queen and the larvae do?

Is it technically possible to cross the Pacific Ocean moving only east-to-west or west-to-east? Or does crossing the IDL nullify the direction of your travel?

If we could bio-engineer a cactus that quickly turns into liquid after it dies, wouldn't enough of these planted in a desert eventually turn it into a swamp?

Why can't we use huge (yet simple) magnifying lenses to boil water, to run steam turbines, etc.? Is that less efficient than a similar sized solar panel? We've all seen the video where a 4-foot lens can melt rock into lava in 10 seconds... just seems like CONCENTRATING sunlight is way underutilized?
