U.S. agriculture regulators are considering approving hemp seed meal as a feed for laying hens. Doing so could result in 650,000 acres of hemp being cultivated to meet demand. For perspective, in 2023, roughly 28,000 acres were dedicated to cultivating hemp in the U.S.
