OTD in 2005, Air France Flight 358 (F-GLZQ) an Airbus A340-300 overruns the runway at Toronto Pearson International Airport & crashes into Etobicoke Creek. All 309 passengers and crew survive (with 43 being injured, 12 seriously).

OTD in 2016, Emirates Flight 521 (A6-EMW) a Boeing 777-300 crashes while attempting to land at Dubai International Airport after a go around. All 300 passengers and crew survived the incident (a firefighter was killed by a center fuel tank explosion).

OTD in 1985, Delta Air Lines Flight 191 (N726DA) a Lockheed L-1011 TriStar hits a car & collides with two water tanks after encountering a microburst while on approach to Dallas Fort Worth International Airport. 136 of the 163 passengers & crew are killed along with one of the two people in the car.

OTD in 2009, Bangkok Airways Flight 266 (HS-PGL) an ATR-72-500 skids off the runway while landing at Samui International Airport in Thailand & crashes into an old & unmanned control tower. Out of the 72 passengers & crew, 71 survive (41 are however injured & the sole fatality is one of the pilots).

OTD in 1997, Fine Air Flight 101 (N27UA) a DC-8-61F crashes after taking off from Miami International Airport. All four crew members and a person on the ground are killed. 2 people on the ground are injured.

Scelidotherium leptocephalum by Astrapionte. This species and the entire genus of ground sloths is characterized by their elongated Anteater like head. The genus Scelidotherium was widespread, ranging from Panama to Argentina.

OTD in 2020, Air India Express Flight 1344 (VT-AXH) a Boeing 737-800 aborts two landing attempts but skids off of the end of the tabletop runway & slides down a 9–10.5 m (30–35 ft) slope, killing 19 passengers and both pilots. 169 passengers and crew however survive. 167 of them are injured.

OTD in 1975, a chartered Royal Jordanian (on behalf of Royal Air Maroc) Boeing 707-300 (JY-AEE) crashes into a mountain while on approach to Agadir Inezgane Airport in Morocco. All 188 passengers and crew are killed.
