I had only just deciphered the frantic yelling rising up from the base of the mountain before the thundering snow sent me tumbling until I lost sight of the blue sky. In the silent stillness I instinctively drew a breath but the air hung in my mouth as an immeasurable weight pressed upon my lungs.
