Devs that build mobile and web apps for local/small businesses is the 10k to 100k range, based on complexity and scale of the app, what you charge? Do you charge lump sum, half start/half end or 12 months? How many clients a year do you typically do?

I make 130k WFA and my boss keeps the other 170k for finding the clients, anyone else in that situation quit and do it all themselves for the full 300k? Is it doable solo?
