List positive things going on in society and your personal lives. I need to hear some good news. It’s so rare today. And we are ruminators, so the constant negativity we hear about affects us more deeply than most “normal people”, I believe. Trump. Our educational system. Our infrastructure.

Does anyone else get treated like someone who “takes shit” because they apologize often and do so emotionally? I’m just trying to remain calm and be humble.

Just turned 40. Finally landed a job at least somewhat not fully retail-a Pharm Tech apprenticeship position at Walgreens. I’m proud of myself…and a bit nervous. How many of you have also escaped the low-level retail trap (assuming they keep me on for a bit and I actually escape)?

When people say “don’t take this the wrong way…but I didn’t think you could [write such good poetry, know so much about ___”, I wonder what that’s supposed to mean? That I look stupid?
