In Peanuts, Charlie Brown's dad was inspired by Charles Schultz's own dad, who was a barber in St. Paul, MN. He never revealed where the characters lived though, so was it realistic that the Brown family could've lived off a barber's paycheck in the 50s? Also how about the 60s, 70s, and 80s?
