How were Hiroshima & Nagasaki rebuilt after the bombings? - especially over the first 5 and 10 up to maybe 20 years? For instance, what (if anything) was preserved from what was still left?

Are there any semi-modern (i.e. 20th Century) parallels to the Tea Party? Any kind of "party within a party" that goes agaist their party-leadership to the degree we've seen recently?

How long did it take to rebuild Dresden after 1945? Can anyone provide links (w/ pics) of it being rebult, for the first 5 years after the bombing (or 10 years, at most)

LF: a good biography on LBJ, or a good general book on American history covering the mid-to-late 60's (post JFK), about race issues, the politics of the time, and urban issue -- for a history novice.
