Gregmat Practice Quiz: Could someone explain this in a simpler term to me? The answer I got was -2 since I thought we were supposed to factor out. Algebra is confusing

Anyone consistently missing problems due to the sensitive answer box? My notepad I got the answer "2" (which is correct), my mouse must have accidentally scrolled when I moved it to the submit button. I consistently miss questions from this issue. Is there a fix?
