I heard once that if Poland wasn't invaded by the Nazi's then it could have completely destroyed Russia as an international superpower, or at lest heavily weakened it due to Jozef Pilsudski's policy of "Prometheism". How accurate is this statement?

In terms of "aesthetic ideals" in art and architecture Greek and Roman classicism seem to dominate most of European history. However do we know what the aesthetic ideal was for ancient non-Greek and Roman cultures, like the Celts, Slavs and Germanic tribes?
