I have heard some people claim that British Colonialism was less bad to the natives as compared to French, Portuguese or Spanish Colonialism. Is this true?

The countries of socialist bloc (USSR, Eastern Europe, PRC etc) were formally committed to gender equality per the ruling ideology but their leadership was largely male dominated. How was this lack of gender diversity seen within the party? Was there any attempt to change that?

Why did the United Arab Republic fail given the nations shared a similar ethnicity, religion and ideology (Arab socialism, anti-communism, secularism etc)? Was it solely due to leadership struggles or were there deeper factors?

There has been a lot of excitement and dystopian speculation regarding AI especially after release of ChatGPT. Was there similar warnings and panicky literature about machines taking over in the ancient/medieval period and during the first century of industrial revolution?
