I've noticed that when I eat pineapple with a silver fork, the fork starts to smell awfully like rotten egg/sulfur, - am I crazy or is there some sort of reaction happening between the silver and pineapple?

What determines whether someone is "pronounced dead at the scene", so to speak (no attempts of resuscitation are made), or whether someone is "clinically dead" (absence of consciousness/heart activity/breathing) but attempts to resuscitate are made?
