In terms of the ancient manuscripts that historians use as their primary sources, are there digital archives that contain all these ancient manuscripts in one place? If not, do historians have to physically search different libraries/museums to reference these manuscripts?

Out of 36 Ottoman sultans, only 6 (of the first 10) had mothers of Central Asian Turkic lineage, with the other 30 having mothers of Circassian/Balkan/Greek/etc origins. Did the Ottoman nobility of the Anatolian heartland have opinions on their sultans having very little “Turkish blood”?

Why is it that places like Gaul/France and Spain/Hispania eventually adopted a form of Latin as their language after being conquered by Rome, but places like Egypt largely retained their Coptic language (until Arab conquest)?

If the people of modern day Anatolia are called “Turks” because of their adoption of a Turkic language/culture, why are Turkic speaking people of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, etc not also called Turks, especially considering those places are closer to where Turkic language/culture originated?

What exactly was the objective that Al Qaeda had in carrying out the 9/11 attacks? A common explanation is that it was retaliation for US intervention in the middle east, but the attacks led to much more of that occurring. Did Al Qaeda leaders really not see that coming?
