[WP] Long ago, a mermaid saved the lives of humans who's ship crashed while navigating a dangerous storm. She continued to help people lost at sea out of the kindness of her heart. That I'd until humans began ignoring obviously dangerous conditions knowing they'd be saved, then she got tired of it.
