[WP] As a Medusa, everyone that sees your face turns to stone. You've never seen a mirror, but you really, really, really want to know what color your eyes are.

[WP] Determined to finally participate in Halloween, you buy some cheap makeup from that weird old store on the outskirts of town. November 1st, you wake up in a strange place with the remnants of your werewolf costume and a bloody mouth and hands. There's enough makeup to do other classic monsters.

[WP] Every Saturday you head to the lake for shoreline fishing. An older gentleman is always there as well, so you start to chat. Over time you realize that he's the head of the secret society that rules the world from the shadows, and he's just so very tired of it all.

[WP] Aliens created a field around our solar system to ensure humans didn't gain a specific technology, for fear of what they would do with it. Our first manned probe has passed Pluto...it also just passed this wizard flying a massive space dragon.

[WP] Future pen-and-paper role-playing game involves adventuring in the mind of the game master. A small group of friends gets together to do this, and the game ends up solving some of the social/mental/emotional issues of the players, including the game master.
