Say you have one pound of ground beef with an expiration date in 2 days, and another pound set to expire in 5 days. If you cooked both on the same day, would they stay good in the fridge for the same amount of time?

A lot of species tend to favor a high female to male ratio, given that one male can impregnate multiple females. With this being the case, why are a lot of offspring still ~50% male:female?
