Today many say the description of Pre-Columbian cultures as 'tribes' is misnomer, that they were more organized than the word lets on. Can the same be said about the Goths and Vandals, who the Romans described as tribal barbarians?

The three oldest human buildings still existing today are located in France, and were designed for burial. Do we know why these societies placed such an importance on death and burial? And why given that we originated in Africa, why is France so full of pre-historic relics?
