TIL that nothing happened in the world from 4th - 15th October 1582, because those dates don't exist. When the Gregorian Calendar was introduced, it was agreed to advance the calendar 10 days to compensate for the drift from the equinoxes, as the Julian Calendar was inaccurate by 0.0025 days.
