How long could my kids survive if I let them have their way and only eat candy?

When my toddler poops his diaper, sometimes it will turn the skin red and irritated almost instantly and other times not at all. Is this caused by certain “ingredients” in the poop and do they vary from poop to poop? Would adult poop also irritate our skin the same way?
