Did we ever work out what exactly hit Jupiter last month?

From what i understand the main reason a Gorilla could never speak is the vocal cords. Yet there are cats and dogs who have learned a few words. Why can't a Gorilla, who's tongue and lips move more like ours, manage a word or 2 then?

Due to a spontaneous pneumothorax I was told I can never go down below scuba depth in the ocean nor go down in a pressurized sub. Does this mean I could never go into space as well?
