There are claims that there's a roughly 4-generation 80-year cycle of "great wars" in the US. If so, we're due for another 80 years after WWII. Is there much support for that?

The total number of speakers of Native languages in the US and Canada combined appears to be dwarfed by the same number in just Mexico. And similarly, South America dwarfs North America. Why is that?
