It is always said that heat rises, and most people have experienced the inside of their house being warmer upstairs than down, but why when you are outside and you go up in the air does it get colder the higher you go? Shouldn't the heat from the surface be always moving up?

Since urine is almost entirely water, an our bodies evolved to be very efficient at preserving water, why is it possible that you can be very thirsty and still have to pee at the same time? Shouldn't your body save more of the water when you're thirsty instead of running it through a waste system?
