What would the home/workshop of a 14th/15th-century furrier been like (what kinds of specialist tools and preservatives would have been present, would the layout of the home have been altered to make space for some kind of specialist workspace, etc.)?

Trying to learn more about sieges and siegecraft as research for a story I'm writing. Can someone point to a good example of a large-scale (attacking force of 20,000+ soldiers) siege of a major city during the 14th or 15th centuries that I should study?
