[WP] A leviathan wakes up from its thousand year sleep, only to discover their ocean has become a massive desert. Days pass and they are found by a group of giant sand worms. The worms take pity and decide to teach the leviathan how to survive in the desert.

[EU] the krayt dragons are a sith lord's best friend. However, this only applies to lesser krayt dragons. Greater krayt dragons are far too large, powerful, and prideful to control. This gives the jedi the idea to tame a greater krayt dragon through kindness instead of dominance.
