If we think that man has only had fire for 400k years, then why do humans have a mechanism for healing from burn wounds? There are very few natural sources for burn injuries.

Is the primary challenge in creating a neural network that functions as an artificial general intelligence just a matter of the proper training, or is there a hardware barrier right now that prevents us from creating something with sufficient complexity? During a phase change from ice to liquid, when energy is being absorbed without temperature changes, where is the energy stored? My instinct says as kinetic energy in the molecules as they "jitter" around, but that would increase the temperature.
