Does Tidal power generation rob energy of the Earth/Moon gravitational system? Could it, in theory and over a very long time, destabilize the moons orbit? If not, where is the energy coming from?

I have consistently heard anecdotally, from beauty therapy type professions, that the body hair on humans grows much faster during the summer compared to winter. This strikes me as counter-intuitive; Is this true? If so, what is the benefit or reason to this?
