If a laptop with a Hybrid GPU system (iGpu + dGpu)'s dedicated GPU breaks, can you keep using it normally only using the iGpu?

How would a person behave if they were somehow sedated to unconsciousness as soon as they were born, until they reach their 20s (while being taken care of)? Would they learn things as easily as a baby (including language)? Would they be "feral" and rely solely on instincts?
