How do we think the low reproduction rates of pandas was effecting them before the addition of humanity to their ecosystem? Were they in decline before hand, were they doing well despite it?

Why is yellow so much "weaker" than the other primary pigments? It seems like it gets overwhelmed by other colors faster than red and blue pigments. It also is harder to make shades with.
