For a particle to evaporate from a black hole, it would have to travel at near the speed of light or it would just be reabsorbed. Is this what theory suggests happens?

The speed of light in a medium is less than c due to photons stopping to interact with particles in the medium. Does this happen with gravity, too?

What is the volume of a single photon in free space? If it doesn't have one, is it because it follows the Schrodinger equation for probability distribution, or for a different reason?
