We now know the effects of alcohol consumption during pregnancy - up until very recently this wasn't recognised. Is there any known historical recognition, or any historical figures who might have suffered from FAS?

Was there a notable class divide between the various factions of the British military during WW2? I always see the airforce as being represented as rather posh in media, but not the navy and army.

What happened to the "landed gentry" during the Victorian era? There was the mass exodus of workers from the rural areas and the fact that a lot of the squires were land rich, but monetarily poor...

I'm not sure if this is the correct forum, but I read the rules and can't think of a more fitting subreddit: Is there a good book that covers the history of humanity cross-continentally, to give one an idea of a global timeline?
