Turkish FM Hakan Fidan was uncharacteristically harsh at his press conference in Egypt: "The US tries to clean up all of Israel's bad deeds, it's no longer acceptable. The owners of Israel (the US) must take Israel by the leash and stop them. The region can no longer take any further provocations."

Turkey sent FM Hakan Fidan, Intel (MIT) Chief Ibrahim Kalın, Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, Parliament Speaker Kurtulmuş to İsmail Haniyeh's funeral in Doha. Members of Parliament also attended. Fidan also had a meeting at Hamas office to pay respects to Haniyeh's sons and discuss the recent events.
