HMS Royal George was a 100-gun first-rate ship of the line of the Royal Navy that in sank in Portsmouth (UK) in 1782 into 65ft of water. I've read about attempts to raise the ship. How did they raise and salvage ships this large at this time?

In "Fury", 4 Sherman Tanks come up against 1 Tiger. All 4 tank commanders were visibly distressed despite their overwhelming numbers. Was the Tiger so infamous that this sentiment was widespread and justified, or is this just drama?
